ILC Change of Venue

Please Note: Due to construction in the Sheraton Hotel’s garage, the conference center is not available because of the potential noise levels where the ILC sessions were going to be held. This construction does not affect the rooms at the hotel, but the Sheraton arranged for our entire program to be moved to the Colorado Convention Center a few blocks away: This includes all Main Sessions, Classes, Kid’s Program and Sunday Service.

The conference registration and most of the receptions will still take place in the Sheraton Hotel. Specific details and maps will be available at registration.

COLORADO CONVENTION CENTER: www.denverconvention.com

700 14th St., Denver, CO 80202 • Phone: 303-228-8000

Transportation: The Colorado Convention Center is a short walk (4 blocks) from the Sheraton Denver. However the hotel is running a shuttle bus to get ILC participants back and forth as needed. Please let us know if you will have special needs with regards to your transportation. The Convention Center is also right on the D, F & H lines of Denver’s Light Rail System for anyone staying South of Downtown.

Parking: The garage at the Sheraton is under construction and no parking will be available during your stay. There is parking available all around downtown and the hotel has prepared some suggestions, but keep in mind most parking is expensive. The Convention Center has a garage, but is pricey as well. The Taste of Colorado will be held on Friday through Monday within two blocks of the Sheraton which will also make parking difficult and more expensive. Some parking options are included in the PDF linked here.

ILC Sponsorship Appeal

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Plans for the 2009 International Leadership Conference are moving along at a terrific pace. Countless hours of imagination, prayer, conference calls and e-mails are giving shape to an unforgettable conference. The program has been crafted to provide deep, inspirational teaching and practical ministry input. We have also placed deliberate effort to plan large segments of time devoted entirely to fellowship! It’s going to be a truly memorable conference together.

One pressing need has come to our attention that we felt compelled to place before you. That is the need for financial help for those brothers and sisters whom without such help would be unable to attend this life giving and life changing time. Most of us are tight on funds — this is a reality that the world is facing. Because of this, some of our key leaders worldwide are going to miss this historic time if they do not receive help by way of monetary donations. From the beginning of our planning, we have tried to be cost sensitive to all the participants attending the Conference. Especially to those of our brothers and sisters who are laboring for the Lord under conditions that many of us can only imagine. Even a small donation could reap spiritual and emotional dividends that will be truly eternal. How can you help? Please consider any gift as you go to the official conference website (icocconference.org) and click on the ‘sponsorship’ page to give your support.

Thank you kindly for considering how you may help.

In him,

The 2009 ILC Host Committee.

For Elder’s Wives:

The International Leadership Conference is coming up quickly. The time will be here faster than we can imagine. We, as the Denver elders’ wives are so excited about having wonderful fellowship time with many of you. In order to make this possible, we have reserved a room for a special luncheon on Thursday September 3rd, for all of you during the conference.

In order for us to contract the correct number of tables and meals, we will need to hear back from you by August 15th, as this will be a “reservations only” event. Again, you will have to reserve your spot in advance by emailing the number of attendees and their names to: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it There will be an extra cost to this, $28 per person, so please let your churches know so they can pay for this part of the program. Payment will need to be made at the door.

We would also like to invite the women from outside the United States who are currently in training to become a part of the eldership. We believe that this will provide a great opportunity to learn and to grow through the fellowship and lessons during the luncheon. If you wish to bring a translator with you, please let us know, as we do not want anything to limit you from participating in this event.

We are planning to have two speakers for this event. Two women who have served in the eldership for several years will be sharing the joys and challenges of marriage, family and church while serving the church in this capacity. We have not yet contacted these women, so it will be announced at a later date as the conference draws closer.

Please let us know if there is anything we can do to serve you, whether special meal requests or assistance in any other area while you are here. We want you all to feel welcomed and taken care of during your stay in Denver.

We look forward to sharing our lives with you and bonding our hearts together.

In Him from the Denver elders’ wives,
Lynda Bickel, Linda Giles, Theresa Jackson, Alison Jacobs, Erica Kim, Judi Roberts

All Registrants:

Leaders around the world are called upon to wear many hats. None of them is more important and fundamental to shepherding God’s people than Jesus’ call to love AS I HAVE LOVED YOU. This phrase embodies the heart and foundation of Christ centered leadership and it is what draws us together for the 2009 International Leadership Conference!  Read More
